hey n8, my girlfriend said the other day "I aint' got a RED CENT". I was trippen on the phrase, and have heard it many times since a kid. So I checked on the origin. It was when the U.S created the lowest worth coin, to use when buying from American Natives. That penny was made in copper (unlike the nickles etc.) and had an American indian on the face. It was called the Redskin coin.... Then onto a Red Cent.
During the depression, the phrase was made "..aint' got a Red Cent".
    My favorite for sure!

"Hyphens are an unfortunate existence in the world, like drugs or sex trafficking."
